MediaFriend Björn Hering
I was 16 when I myself profited greatly from a mentor!
Björn Hering, born in 1978, was 17 years old when he first stood in front of a camera. Since then he has hosted and produced many innovative TV-shows for over 18 TV stations among others in Switzerland, Germany and the US. He founded the production company FaroTV in 2001 and after extended travels around Europe in his Caravan he founded the media agency Medienfisch in 2009. His work has earned him the renowned "Rose d'or 2003" prize for the best interactive TV show. Björn is an avid Pilot and lives in Zürich and Murten.
I was allowed to profit from a mentor: when I was 16 a very experienced radio host, 40 years older than me, took me to the studio every day after school. I was allowed to watch over her shoulder while she did her job. This love for her work and the passion in passing it on to others have impressed me deeply to this very day.
Now I feel it is the most natural thing to try and do the same for others!
