The Dekeyser&Friends MediaFellowship offered one motivated young person the chance to spend 9 months traveling to ongoing Foundation projects and the Foundation HQs meeting the Fellows, Friends and many other exciting people. The MediaFellow shared these experiences through the D&F World on the Foundation’s website as well as he worked on a final media piece of his or her own choosing.

Björn Hering and Matthias Zuber were the mentors throughout this Project and helped the MediaFellow in the beginning to develop his or her IP TV Show. They also helped to plan a Final Project which will allowed the MediaFellow to freely express and reflect on the experiences during the MediaFellowship. Towards the end of the MediaFellowship, they met him or her to give their feedback and helped complete the Final Project, which was presented on the last day of the MediaFellowship in December.

I shared my love for moving images: music, people, animals, technology, conversations,  countries, images, technology and emotions with the MediaFellow. And I  the MediaFellows surprised me, after all being a Friend is about both responsibility and fun, but also for myself to be inspired anew.

I wanted the MediaFellow to show openness and the willingness to see things, situations and people contrary to our and society's believes and prejudices. He or she experienced what I love most about working in media: meeting people all over the world I would never meet without my job, sharing their lives and sometimes difficult situations for a while.
