Have you ever thought that stories and information sharing can change the world? Did you maybe wonder how to best tell stories of inspiration? The Dekeyser&Friends MediaFellowship 2010 brought together a MediaFellow, Meagan Kelly from Canada, with experienced and knowledgeable Friends to test and practice the might the camera can yield. The Media Project offered its MediaFellow the chance to produce and experiment with media content and publish them via the D&F World, the foundation’s media outlet. The MediaFellowship 2010 had two amazing Friends – host and producer Björn Hering as well as director and producer Matthias Zuber. The MediaFellowship lasted from April to December 2010.

The MediaFellowship provided a unique opportunity for our MediaFellow to practice and hone her existing media skills. Meagan used a variety of media, meet interesting people, all the while calling the world her project location. As in all D&F Academy projects, the chance to interact with the Friends proved to be an invaluable source for professional development and personal inspiration.

Dekeyser&Friends aims to inspire people all over the world to follow their dreams and our MediaFellow had the great possibility to join this endeavor by contributing her own take on what she had experienced in the weekly IP TV show "Inspiration Nation" which is hosted in the D&F World. Using video, photos and articles her Friends helped her to develop her own take on topics such as inspiration, tolerance and optimism. In addition Meagan concluded your MediaFellowship with the production of a final piece of work under the guidance of her Friends. In Meagan's case this was the short documentary "Grace", about a young Philippino girl's struggle for an education, which was selected for and won numerous awards at international film festivals (Monaco International Film Festival, Artivist Festival, Edindocs, UN Film Festival) and inspired Meagan to set up the "Gift of Grace Foundation" which raises money to help Philippino children attend school.
