It is very important to make everything ready before we start the mix. The materials have to be right, the proportion has to be right and then only the plaster will be right. We normally use clay, sand and fiber and some starch for our plaster.

Our technician RamKrishna Thapa teaching women how to do the first coat. We trained the women to do modern mud plaster in oppose to the traditional way they do/did in their homes.

Impressed by her craftsmenship, this lady got full time job in the same restaurant. She now takes care and maintains the mud plaster there.

Eric Cheng, trainer of life support by profession joined us for 4 days and helped us in our mud plaster and in our workshop. During his stay he not only helped us in our regular course of work but also taught our workers some simple skills of Latching. With that skill, our women made a small corner shelf. Though Eric is now back to Canada, we keep exchanging information, ideas and suggestions.

This pub actually belongs to my friend. After much convincing he had agreed to do the mud plaster.. and now he is in love with it. He then himself decided to add bamboo components where ever he could. I must say, its a huge success in our part.

The finishing of this plaster is awesome. Not just aesthetically but is as hard and sturdy as concrete. With all natural materials without mixing any additives or chemical, we finished this beautiful work just in the 3 months time.
